ROKN FAROUK
The King’s Retreat, Reimagined
Resting gracefully on the banks of the Nile, Rokn Farouk — or Farouk’s Corner — was built in 1942 as a royal retreat for King Farouk, Egypt’s last monarch. Conceived as a peaceful escape from Cairo, the palace reflects the king’s refined taste and deep connection to the river. Blending traditional Egyptian and European architecture, its boat-shaped design, lush gardens, and tranquil ambiance embody the elegance of Egypt’s early 20th-century royal life.
Today, Venture Lifestyle is restoring and managing this historic landmark, preserving its legacy while reintroducing it as a modern cultural destination. The estate now hosts around 50 events annually across three reimagined venues, including bridal and groom’s suites, a riverside café, and a private port — offering an experience where heritage, harmony, and celebration meet on the Nile’s edge.
